Sunset Camel Trek

The Merzouga sunset camel tour begins 1 to 2 hours before sunset. Your camel ride takes around half an hour across the sweeping dunes of Erg Chebbi. Once you reach the big dunes, you’ll leave the camels and walk about 60 meters to reach one of the highest points. From there, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the desert as the sun sinks behind the horizon.

For those who prefer a calmer experience, the area around the camel “parking” is also perfect for watching the sunset. After this magical moment, ride your camels back to the village meeting point, carrying with you the serenity and beauty of the desert twilight.
